When: June 21, 2023, 13:00-15:00
Online / Hybrid (in-person participation by invitation only)

In the coming years, many factors will keep the textile industry from continuing on with “business as usual.” On the European level, key policies such as the EU Textile Strategy, the planned EU Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products, and the EU Waste Framework Directive on textiles will act as the basis for closing circles when it comes to textiles—i.e., through innovative fiber-to-fiber recycling—while creating new loops and markets for recycled fibers or residual materials.

Join us as we discuss the challenges and opportunities affecting the industries along the textile chain, based on the example of “linens and work uniforms.” We’ll also explore ways that we can transform some of these challenges into opportunities for Austria.

We’ll learn from initiatives and pilot projects leading the way, and work in small groups together with experts to find new ways to close the loops in the textile industry.

The textile dialogue addresses the B2B sector (public institutions and companies).
