Hans Holzinger will be visiting our Book Club to talk about his new book, „Wirtschaftswende. Transformationsansätze und neue ökonomische Konzepte im Vergleich“ (roughly translated as “The Economic Transformation: Transformative approaches and a comparison of concepts for a new economy”). In his book, Holzinger shows us how our economy could work differently. After highlighting examples of where sustainability is lacking in our current model, Holzinger lays out new approaches in the fields of energy, food, mobility, urban living, finance and taxes, business and civil society. He tops it off with insights into macroeconomic concepts such as Green Growth, Degrowth and post-capitalistism. That’s a lot of topics, but we’ll explore them together under the guidance of the author as well as Thomas Geiger from Gemeinwohlökonomie Austria.
