Training: Getting started – The climate crisis in the organizational context

Line drawing of a person standing next to an organizational diagram and teaching people.

—Members only—

Organizations play a significant role in the the climate crisis … and the climate transformation. Organizations are increasingly being held responsible for how their work and products affect our climate, and changes made at this level can have a major effect on CO2 levels.

Johannes Naimer-Stach and Marion Zöchbauer from the Klimaschutzakademie invite people working with or for organizations to join them to explore relevant strategic paths toward climate neutrality as well as the constantly evolving legal frameworks that apply to companies following these paths. Participants will examine measures for avoiding and reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and gain insights on important areas that support the work, including strategy, reporting and communications.

Topics:

  • Strategic paths to climate neutrality: How (and how quickly) can we reach our goals?
  • Legal frameworks
  • Potential interventions along the production chain (scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions)
  • Supporting activities (strategy, reporting, communication)
  • Pitfalls and traps to avoid (i.e. greenwashing)
