Following his attendance at the European Business and Nature Summit in late October, Damien Plant will provide us with insights on the current situation around biodiversity and nature in the EU with regards to business, NGO and policy.
Over the years, Damien has increasingly focused on how nature and biodiversity loss remain the ‘poor cousins’ to the fight against climate change and is often seen as subordinate to the narrower and more readily definable challenges being debated in Belem later this year. Having previously attended the EBNS in 2023 as well as the Nature COP in 2022 and 2024, Damien will thus be able to share perspectives on recent developments and where progress may be achieved in the coming times.
