On September 27, 2026, the EU’s EmpCo Directive (Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition) goes into effect, setting a new legal standard for sustainability communication.
During this Community Lunch, our Sustainability Lead Paulius Barakauskas will share insights into how to navigate the directive and what makes for a ‚compliant‘ sustainability claim—one that avoids vague terminology and instead uses verifiable, science-based claims. Paulius will use the Impact Hub Vienna group’s approach as one example of how a company is working to achieve authentic sustainability communication.
